Managing Your Profile

Your profile contains your personal information and preferences. These settings are specific to you — they’re not shared across your workspace or team.

Updating Your Display Name

Your display name appears to other team members in your workspace. To change it:
  1. Click your profile icon (usually in the top-right corner)
  2. Select Settings or Profile Settings
  3. Find the Display Name field
  4. Enter your new name
  5. Click Save
Your updated name will appear immediately to all team members.

Changing Your Email Address

Your email is the primary way you log in and receive workspace notifications. To update it:
  1. Go to your Profile Settings
  2. Locate the Email Address field
  3. Enter your new email
  4. A verification email will be sent to the new address
  5. Click the verification link in the email to confirm
  6. Your email is now updated
Note: Once confirmed, you can use your new email to log in to Alana Shopping B2B.

Resetting Your Password

To change your password:
  1. Open Profile Settings
  2. Select Change Password or Security
  3. Enter your current password
  4. Enter your new password (at least 8 characters recommended)
  5. Confirm the new password
  6. Click Update Password
Forgot your password? Use the Forgot Password link on the login page to reset it via email.

Uploading a Profile Photo

Adding a photo makes your profile more recognizable to teammates. To add or change your photo:
  1. Go to Profile Settings
  2. Find the Profile Photo section
  3. Click Upload Photo or the placeholder image
  4. Select an image from your computer (JPG, PNG, or WebP)
  5. Crop or adjust if needed
  6. Click Save or Confirm
Your photo will appear next to your name across the workspace.

Managing Notification Preferences

Control how often and when you receive notifications:
  1. Open Profile Settings
  2. Navigate to Notifications or Email Preferences
  3. Choose your preferences:
    • Email Notifications: Receive updates via email (turn on/off)
    • Notification Frequency: Daily digest, weekly digest, or real-time
    • Notification Types: Select which types of events trigger notifications (comments, assignments, mentions, etc.)
  4. Click Save
Tip: If you’re receiving too many notifications, try switching to a daily digest instead of real-time alerts.

What’s Personal vs. Workspace-Wide

Your profile settings are just for you. Each person in your workspace has their own profile:
  • Your settings only affect you: When you change your notification preferences, other team members aren’t affected
  • Workspace settings are separate: Your workspace admin manages workspace-level billing, team members, and features

Privacy & Data

Your profile information is:
  • Visible to teammates: Your name and photo appear to other workspace members
  • Private from outside viewers: Only people invited to your workspace can see your profile
  • Secure: Your password and email are never shared
