Adding Products One at a Time

Adding products manually is perfect when you’re adding a small number of items or want to carefully review each product’s details before uploading.

Step-by-Step: Add a Product

Step 1: Open Your Catalog

From the Catalogs section, click on the catalog where you want to add a product.

Step 2: Click “Add Product”

Look for the “Add Product” button (usually near the top-right). Click it to open the product creation form.

Step 3: Fill in Product Information

You’ll see a form with several fields. Here’s what each one means:

Required Fields (Must Fill In)

  • Product Title: The name of your product (e.g., “Blue Cotton T-Shirt”, “Wireless Headphones Pro”)
  • Description: A description of what the product is. Be clear and helpful — this is what customers see!
  • At Least One Image: Upload a product image. This is what people see first, so make it count.

Optional Fields (Nice to Have)

  • Additional Images: Add more photos showing different angles, colors, or the product in use
  • Price: The product’s selling price
  • SKU (Stock Keeping Unit): A unique code you use to identify this product in your system (e.g., “BLU-TSHIRT-001”)
  • Attributes: Extra details like:
    • Size (S, M, L, XL)
    • Color (Red, Blue, Green)
    • Material (Cotton, Polyester, Wool)
    • Weight or Dimensions
    • Brand

Step 4: Save Your Product

Click “Save Product” to add it to your catalog. The product now appears in your catalog’s product list.

Tips for Great Product Information

Product Titles:
  • Be specific and descriptive
  • Include key details (color, size, material if relevant)
  • Avoid ALL CAPS or excessive punctuation
Descriptions:
  • Use 2-3 sentences to explain what the product is
  • Mention key features and benefits
  • Be honest about what customers should know
Images:
  • Use high-quality, clear photos
  • Show the product from different angles if possible
  • Include images of the product in use or in context
  • Keep file sizes reasonable for faster uploading
Attributes:
  • Use consistent names across products (e.g., always use “Size” not sometimes “Size” and sometimes “Sizing”)
  • Only add attributes that actually differ between products

Adding Many Products?

If you need to add lots of products, manually adding each one can be time-consuming. Consider using our bulk import feature instead. You can upload a spreadsheet with all your products at once!

What If I Make a Mistake?

Don’t worry! You can edit any product after you’ve added it. Just:
  1. Click on the product in your catalog
  2. Click “Edit”
  3. Update the information
  4. Save your changes
