Adding a Brand

Brands are the foundation of your Alana Shopping workspace. They help you organize your product catalogs and configure how our AI generates content specifically for your business. Whether you’re managing a single brand or multiple product lines, here’s how to get started.

Why Create a Brand?

Brands serve as containers for your product data and AI behavior settings. When you create a brand, you can:
  • Organize catalogs — Keep product data separate by brand or business unit
  • Customize AI output — Train our AI to match your brand’s unique voice and style
  • Manage permissions — Control who on your team can access specific brands
  • Track separately — Monitor content generation and usage per brand

Adding Your First Brand

Step 1: Go to the Brands Page

From your Alana Shopping dashboard, click Brands in the left sidebar.

Step 2: Click “Add Brand”

Look for the Add Brand button (usually at the top right or center of the page). Click it to open the brand creation form.

Step 3: Fill in Brand Details

You’ll see a simple form with these fields:
FieldRequired?What to enter
Brand NameYesThe name of your brand (e.g., “Eco Essentials” or “TechGear Pro”)
DescriptionNoA short description of what your brand sells (e.g., “Sustainable home products for eco-conscious living”)
LogoNoUpload a logo image (JPG, PNG). This helps identify your brand in the dashboard

Step 4: Save

Click Save to create your brand. You’re done!

What Happens Next?

Once your brand is created, you can:
  1. Set up brand details — Go to Brand Settings to add more information like website, category, and contact info
  2. Configure AI voice — Visit AI Voice and Tone to teach our AI how your brand should sound
  3. Upload products — Start adding your product catalog to this brand
  4. Generate content — Use our AI to create product descriptions, tags, and more

Tips

  • Keep names clear — Use names that are easy to identify (avoid abbreviations if possible)
  • Add a logo early — It makes switching between brands in the dashboard much easier
  • Write a helpful description — Your team will thank you when they know what each brand is for at a glance
