you’re always in control

When Alana generates content for you, it’s a suggestion, not a final decision. You decide what happens next. This section walks you through your options when reviewing AI suggestions.

reviewing a suggestion

When you click “Generate,” Alana creates a suggestion and displays it for you to review. Here’s what you can do:

accept it

If the suggestion is perfect as-is, click the checkmark icon to accept it. The text is saved to your product, and you’re done.

edit it

If the suggestion is almost right but needs tweaks, click the pencil icon to enter edit mode:
  1. The suggestion appears in an editable text field
  2. Make your changes directly in the text
  3. Click Save to keep your edited version
This is your chance to personalize the AI’s work. Maybe it suggests “premium athletic shoe” but you want “performance training shoe.” Just edit it and save.

regenerate for a different version

If you don’t like the suggestion and want Alana to try again, click the refresh/regenerate icon. Alana will generate a different suggestion based on the same product details. You can regenerate as many times as you want, and each regeneration is based on your original product information and brand guidelines. Sometimes the second or third try hits the mark.

reject it

If nothing about the suggestion works, click the X icon to dismiss it. You can then:
  • Type something yourself
  • Try generating again with more product details filled in
  • Move on to editing other fields

requesting different versions

Sometimes you want multiple versions of the same content — maybe for A/B testing, or just to have options. Here’s how:
  1. Generate content as usual
  2. If you like the suggestion, accept it or edit it to save your preferred version
  3. Click “Generate” again in the same field
  4. Choose “Generate new” (not “Enhance existing”)
  5. Alana will create a different suggestion for the same field
You can generate as many versions as you want and compare them. Then decide which one to keep.

tips for better editing

keep the AI’s structure when possible

Alana often creates well-organized content (short punchy sentences, good flow, natural tone). When you edit, try to keep that structure and just refine the wording. AI generated:
“Lightweight design meets breathable comfort. Engineered for speed.”
Good edit:
“Featherlight design meets premium comfort. Engineered for serious runners.”
(You kept the structure and just personalized the language.)

trust the AI’s tone at first

If Alana’s suggestion doesn’t match your brand voice, it might be that your brand guidelines need updating. Before you extensively rewrite the AI’s suggestion, check if your brand voice and tone settings match what you want.

edit small batches at a time

If you’re editing multiple fields (title, description, bullet points), focus on one field at a time. This helps Alana learn your preferences incrementally.

when to regenerate vs. edit

Regenerate when:
  • The core idea or angle doesn’t fit
  • The tone is completely off
  • You want to explore different directions
  • The structure doesn’t work for your product
Edit when:
  • The core idea is great but wording needs polish
  • One or two phrases feel off
  • You want to add brand-specific terminology
  • The suggestion is 80% right and just needs final touches
